The Vision: Spark DICE, Build Deep STEM Interest

The AMAZEHEADS Innovation Lab exists to spark DICE — Design Thinking, Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship — and to foster a deep interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in children and young adults through hands-on practical learning. It is a comprehensive end-to-end solution designed for schools that want a state-of-the-art, world-class lab without carrying the burden of building and staffing it themselves.

The curriculum is prepared grade-wise by reputed mentors, from KG to Class 12, and delivered on the well-researched 5D model — See, Touch, Feel, Perform and Understand — with unique pedagogy practices that promote active learning. Guidelines from the New Education Policy 2020 are built into the syllabus, and the syllabus itself is updated regularly as industry trends evolve.

The 8 Offerings, In Depth

1. Robotics

Young student driving a self-built robot car on a road-map practice mat using a tablet

Imagine building a self-driving car robot that detects an obstacle on its own — that is the kind of project students take on in the robotics track. Starting from motorised builds in primary classes and progressing to sensor-driven, programmable machines in senior grades, children get the opportunity to learn and hone new skills like problem-solving, logic building, critical thinking and programming. Robotics is deliberately placed at the centre of the lab because it pulls together everything else: mechanics, electronics, coding and design. Students work in small teams, iterate on failures, and present their robots — turning abstract STEM concepts into machines they can demonstrate proudly at school exhibitions and competitions.

2. Electronics

Student wiring a microcontroller and circuit board during an electronics session

We live in an amazingly high-tech world, surrounded by electronic gizmos and gadgets — and because our lives are so infused with electronics, children benefit enormously from learning how it all actually works. Through structured electronics kits and tutorials, the program makes the world of electronics as accessible as possible: students begin with simple circuits and LEDs, move on to breadboards, sensors and motor drivers, and eventually wire microcontroller projects of their own. Along the way they learn to read schematics, measure with multimeters, debug faulty connections and respect electrical safety — practical literacy for an electronic world, and the foundation for serious robotics and IoT work in senior classes.

3. Coding

We raise our children to work at Google — why not let them build one? Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg both started coding in school, and the coding track gives every student that same early start. Beginning with visual block-based programming in primary grades and graduating to real text-based languages, students learn to instruct machines and, more importantly, to think in structured steps. Coding helps children with communication, creativity, math, problem solving, logical reasoning and divergent thinking — and builds tremendous confidence as their programs come alive on screen and inside their robots. Because the coding track is woven into robotics, 3D printing and AR/VR projects, code is never abstract: it always drives something students can see and touch.

4. 3D Printing

3D printing provides kids with an insight to think beyond all boundaries of imagination and liberates them to create something unique and amazing. In this track, students learn 3D design on age-appropriate CAD tools, understand how a printer turns a digital model into a physical object layer by layer, and then design, slice and print their own creations — from keychains and models to functional parts for their robotics projects. It is an asset that can revolutionise the technological finesse and innovative spirit of budding students: the moment a child holds an object that existed only in their head a day earlier, prototyping stops being intimidating and becomes a habit.

5. Augmented & Virtual Reality

Students step into the all-immersive world of Augmented and Virtual Reality — learning how to merge the real and virtual worlds, which gives them unlimited potential in creating the next Jurassic Park. Beyond the wow factor of VR headsets, the track teaches how AR and VR experiences are actually constructed: 3D environments, interactions and storytelling. Students explore immersive science content — walking through the solar system or inside a human cell — and then progress to building simple AR/VR experiences of their own. It equips them with the tools needed to succeed in a dynamic world and inculcates industry-ready skills in one of technology's fastest-growing fields.

6. Design Thinking

Leading companies in the world, like Apple and Google, are banking on design thinking for innovative solutions. This track teaches the same unique approach at school level: a "solution-based" technique for solving real-world problems. Students learn to empathise with users, define problems precisely, ideate widely, prototype quickly and test honestly. Projects start close to home — improving the school canteen queue, designing a better water bottle — and grow into community-scale challenges. Design thinking is the connective tissue of the entire Innovation Lab: it turns the skills learned in robotics, coding and 3D printing into a repeatable method for innovation that students can apply to any subject and, later, any career.

7. Young Entrepreneurs Program

Entrepreneurship isn't just about starting companies — it is a skill set and a way of thinking. The Young Entrepreneurs Program is a perfect vehicle to help students develop a mind-set and 'heart-set' they can use for a lifetime, no matter what they choose to become. Students identify problems worth solving, shape ideas into simple business models, understand customers, costs and value, and pitch their ventures to teachers and parents. They learn resilience through feedback and iteration — treating failure as data rather than defeat. Whether a student eventually founds a startup, leads a team, or simply approaches their work with ownership and initiative, the entrepreneurial habits built here compound for decades.

8. Financial Literacy

Financial literacy for kids is the knowledge, skills and motivation that best prepare children to achieve their personal financial and life goals. Kids pick up information about money starting at a young age, and it is crucial to turn those pivotal moments into key opportunities for moulding positive financial behaviours. The track covers age-appropriate essentials — earning, saving, budgeting, spending wisely, and the basics of banking and investing — through games, simulations and real classroom projects like running a mini school store. Combined with the Young Entrepreneurs Program, it gives students a grounded, confident relationship with money that most adults wish they had learned in school.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the AMAZEHEADS Innovation Lab program?

AMAZEHEADS — Inspiring Young Minds is a turnkey Innovation Lab program for schools and colleges covering eight tracks: Robotics, Electronics, Coding, 3D Printing, Augmented & Virtual Reality, Design Thinking, the Young Entrepreneurs Program, and Financial Literacy. The program provides teachers, lab setup and electrical installation, and is implemented for all students of the school. CBM IMPEX is its Authorised Channel Partner.

How is the Innovation Lab program priced?

Pricing is flexible and per student — charged per month or per annum — under a long-term partnership agreement, rather than a large one-time capital purchase. The exact fee depends on school strength and program scope; contact CBM IMPEX for a customised proposal.

Does the school need to provide teachers or equipment?

No. The program takes complete responsibility: trained teachers, robotics and electronics kits, 3D printers, curriculum, lab furniture arrangement and electrical installation are all provided. The school provides a classroom-sized room and a slot in the timetable.

Which students participate in the program?

All students of the school participate, from KG to Class 12, through a grade-wise curriculum prepared by reputed mentors. This all-students model is what builds a genuine innovation culture — and it is why per-student pricing works.

What is the 5D model used in the curriculum?

The program's pedagogy follows the well-researched 5D model — See, Touch, Feel, Perform and Understand — so every concept is experienced hands-on rather than just read about. It also incorporates guidelines from the New Education Policy 2020.

What ongoing support does the school get?

Unlimited training for effective implementation, continuous technical support and guidance, equipment maintenance, and regular updation of the syllabus as per industry trends — all included for the duration of the partnership.
