How to Choose the Right Size
Measure the room, not the wall
The rule that matters is the distance from the panel to the back row. A screen stays comfortably readable to roughly four times its diagonal: about 20 feet for a 65-inch, 25 feet for a 75-inch, 29 feet for an 86-inch. Measure that distance first; the wall will almost always take whatever size the room needs.
Count the seats, then add a row
Class strength rises. A panel bought for 35 students that has to serve 45 two years later is a panel that gets used less, because the back row stops reading it. Where the choice is genuinely between two sizes, the larger one ages better.
Check what the wall can carry
A 75-inch panel weighs about 42 kg and an 86-inch about 51.5 kg. Brick and RCC walls carry that on a fixed VESA mount without preparation. Partition and drywall classrooms need a backing plate or a mobile floor stand, which we specify at survey rather than on delivery day.
Mounting height
Set the bottom edge 110–125 cm from the floor so the working area of the screen sits at a standing teacher's eye level. Too high and teachers stop writing on it; too low and the front row blocks it.

What is the difference between an interactive flat panel and an interactive whiteboard?
An interactive whiteboard is a passive surface that needs a projector and a computer to work. An interactive flat panel is a self-contained LED display with its own processor and operating system. The panel is brighter in a lit room, has no lamp to replace, no shadow when a teacher stands in front of it, and no calibration drift. Panels have effectively replaced interactive whiteboards in new school installations.
How long does an interactive flat panel last?
The LED panel is rated for 50,000 or more hours, which works out to 7-10 years of normal school use. There are no consumables and no moving parts. Standard manufacturer warranty is three years, extendable to five. The practical limit is usually software rather than hardware, which is why an EDLA-certified panel with a current Android version is worth paying for.
Do interactive flat panels need a computer connected?
Not on Android models. The panel boots into its own operating system with a whiteboard, a browser and, on EDLA-certified panels, the full Google Play Store, Google Classroom and Meet. A laptop or an OPS slot-in Windows PC can still be connected over HDMI or USB-C when a teacher needs specific desktop software.
